Sharon Davis-Edwards has over 25 years experience in Insurance, Employee Benefits and the Financial Services Industry. She began her career with John Hancock Life Insurance Co. and E.G. Bowman Insurance Co. in the early 1980's. Since 1988 Ms. Davis has held numerous sales, recruiting and management positions with Voya's predecessor company. She has successfully overseen the negotiation, development and implementation on employer sponsored retirement plans for many organizations.
As Regional Manager for Voya's predecessor company, in 1990 Ms. Davis worked closely with the National Vice President in securing an endorsement for employer sponsored retirement plans for a state-wide Teachers Union. The union had 20,000 members and 110 school districts. Ms. Davis was responsible for monitoring the enrollment process, coordinating group meetings, and recruiting and training field representatives.
In 1994 she became the Sr. Vice President of Benefits Planning Corporation (1). Her responsibilities included;

2006, June appeared as a panelist for a Money/Finance workshop at the Bobby Jones Urban Impact Summit (1) held at Foxwoods in Connecticut.
2007 became a Benefit Specialist offering voluntary benefits through the Allstate
2010 accepted an offer from Colonial Voluntary Benefits to manage and coordinate the voluntary benefits program for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) in the Northeast Territory.

• Her success with employer sponsored plans can be attributed to her ability to work closely with
employers by designing a marketing plan that includes;
- Coordination of group educational meetings and Financial Literacy Seminars
- Individual counseling
- Annual benefit fairs
- Annual employer plan reviews
- Customization of materials
- Creating enrollment strategies to meet the specific needs of each organization (ie., diversity
needs, demographics, geography, sensitive issues, etc.).
Ms. Davis holds licenses in Life Insurance, Health Insurance and maintains the FINRA Series 6, 7
and 63 registrations.
In 2006 she worked with the President of the Empire State Missionary Baptist Association (1) to educate the Ministers and churches about the importance of Financial Literacy in the community.
This organization represents 400 churches throughout New York State.
